A Member can only participate in an Elite Status Challenge once per year from the date of registration. A Member cannot register for more than one Elite Status Challenge at a time, or switch between the Gold Elite and Platinum Elite Status Challenges during the promotion period. There is no retroactive registration for the Gold Elite Status Challenge. Registered Members can earn Gold Elite status after they book and consume eight (8) eligible paid nights during the earning period. Earning period starts the day after members register through the end of the month, plus an additional three (3) months. Nights consumed prior to registration for this promotion are not eligible for this promotion.
Only one room per night, per hotel at a qualified paid rate at participating properties is eligible for this promotion; Award nights do not count. Eligible Stays across all brands count towards promotion credit except Homes & Villas by Marriott International, Marriott Executive Apartments, BVLGARI, Marriott Vacation Club owner-occupied weeks and other hotels that do not participate in Marriott Bonvoy®. If a Member completes the Gold Elite Status Challenge by achieving eight paid qualifying nights within the earning period the member will be upgraded to Gold Elite status for one year. Members who do not meet the qualifying night requirement within the earning period will achieve the membership level which corresponds to the number of qualifying nights stayed:
• 0-9 qualifying nights stayed earns a Marriott Bonvoy® Member status
• 10-24 qualifying nights stayed earns Marriott Bonvoy® Silver Elite status
• 25-49 qualifying nights stayed earns Marriott Bonvoy® Gold Elite status
After the first year, Gold Elite status will be retained by staying the required number of qualifying nights under the terms and conditions of the Marriott Bonvoy® program. Cancellations cannot be executed once Gold Elite Status Challenge request has been submitted. Offer is non-transferable. The Gold Elite Status Challenge is subject to modification, cancellation, or limitation at Marriott's discretion, with or without notice. Elite Benefits vary by brands and based on availability.
