| Dear [Fname][Marriott Bonvoy Member], |
Since I had the honor of being appointed CEO of Marriott International earlier this year, I’ve listened to stories from around the globe about how people are balancing the changing dynamics of work and travel. In those stories is a common desire to get back on the road to visit family, friends, and colleagues and explore new destinations. Travel opens a door to human connection – something that the global pandemic reminded us is priceless.
As I have been on the road visiting our properties, I am inspired by the passion, adaptability, and resiliency I have seen from our associates and the enthusiasm they have for welcoming Marriott Bonvoy members back to our hotels. Yet I know that we have sometimes disappointed you as we navigate the challenges and uncertainty of the pandemic. We are living through times of tremendous change, so I wanted you to hear from me about our dedication to you, our members, and share how we are preparing for a brighter future ahead.
Appreciation for our Members
I’m excited to let you know that we are bringing back Week of Wonders, beginning October 7, a week that is all about you. Week of Wonders is inspired by our appreciation for your loyalty to Marriott Bonvoy. You will have access to member-exclusive offers and experiences that will help you rediscover the wonder of travel, near and far — including savings on hotel stays, points-earning opportunities, access to amazing experiences, and more.
Flexibility and Reassurance
We understand that travel currently looks very different all over the world and recovery is varying by region. Our first priority is the health and well-being of our associates and each and every one of our guests. Following local guidelines, we will continue to observe safety protocols and may adjust some amenities as needed. We ask for your patience as our hotels adapt to operating in a challenging environment.
In these changing times, we also know that you are looking for more flexibility and reassurance as you begin to travel again. We’ve enabled more contactless services, including mobile check-in and mobile key. We offer member rates – a best rate guarantee – when you book directly with Marriott and the status you earned in 2019 has been extended to February 1, 2022. In addition, we are proud to now provide the opportunity to protect your trips with our partner, Allianz Travel Insurance.
New Hotels. New Experiences.
Marriott Bonvoy® remains committed to bringing our members the best hotels, destinations and travel experiences the world has to offer. Over the past few months, we have opened new hotels in destinations across the world, offering more ways to enjoy a luxury travel experience, including
The Ritz-Carlton® Maldives, Fari Islands, Renaissance® Bali Nusa Dua Resort, Matild Palace, a Luxury Collection® Hotel, Budapest, and W Philadelphia with many more to come, including The Reykjavik EDITION® and The Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City.
Brighter Days Ahead
While much has changed over the past year-and-a-half, what hasn't changed is the dedication associates around the world display every day. We cannot wait to see you again and welcome you back whether you choose to stay at any of our 30 hotel brands, Homes & Villas by Marriott International or All-Inclusive Resorts by Marriott Bonvoy™. I remain optimistic that better days are ahead and that we can help you take advantage of the transformative power of travel, when the time is right.
As always, I thank you for your continued loyalty.
Best,
