After more than one year spent at home, I have no doubt that we could all benefit from the transformative power of a trip somewhere. As Marriott Bonvoy members, we know travel is the spice of life; it’s a gift that allows us to keep growing as people – learning and stretching our understanding of the world. It also opens a door to human connection – something that the global pandemic reminded us of is priceless.
As I talk to people around the world, I am struck by a common desire to be back on the road again—to visit family and friends, explore new destinations, or uncover a new experience, cuisine, or language. And so it is with great optimism that I share some of what you can look forward to enjoying this year.
There’s been a resurgence in demand for the all-inclusive travel experience. It’s exciting that beginning today members can earn and redeem points at All-Inclusive by Marriott International, a terrific new vacation option. We have resorts in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Saint Lucia—and more to come.
As restrictions are being lifted in some parts of the world, many of us are craving the return of in-person experiences. Wherever it is permissible and makes sense, we’ll once again begin offering Marriott Bonvoy Moments later this year. I’m sure some of you have enjoyed these exclusive experiences—whether you’re a fan of Manchester United or the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team, or you enjoy the thrill of cooking alongside some the world’s best chefs. Marriott Bonvoy Moments is your VIP ticket for concerts, festivals and cultural experiences around the world.
Thankfully, we’re beginning to see a travel revival in many destinations. This is inspiring more of us to dream about or actually book those bucket-list vacations. We know members aspire to redeem points for luxury travel. Marriott Bonvoy already offers an iconic portfolio of luxury brands like The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and W Hotels, but we’re also excited for future additions to our luxury offerings. While it is too soon to reveal more now, we look forward to sharing news in the coming months.
We understand that recovery is happening at a different pace all over the world. As a result, your on-property experience with us may be a little different than in the past. We ask for your patience as our hotels adjust to the challenges.
