This was a very
exciting year for Marriott Rewards as we introduced new services and amenities for you, our loyal guests. I want to take this time to thank you for your business on behalf of everyone who works with Marriott International around the world.
We have increasingly recognized the need to create a better digital experience for our members. In 2014, we introduced free Wi-Fi for all 47 million Marriott Rewards members at more than 3,800 hotels in our global lodging portfolio. We also developed innovative features like Plus Points, FlashPerks and Local Perks to deliver new ways to participate and receive benefits from membership.
The company continues to add hotels at a rapid pace for you to enjoy. In September, we opened our first MOXY hotel in Milan, and just recently our first AC Hotels by Marriott property outside Europe debuted in New Orleans, with many more to follow in the Americas. Our successful Autograph Collection added the iconic Atlantis, Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas. Next year promises more great hotels in places like Miami, New York, Paris, Barcelona and Venice.
We look forward to welcoming you and continuing to serve you whenever you choose a Marriott hotel for your travels in 2015.
