London Office Receives SCI Awards U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services ("GCTS") in Europe has been recognised as the leading European trustee for Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) and Auto ABS following Structured Credit Investor's ("SCI") recent market survey. SCI, a leading industry news publisher attracted respondents from originators, asset managers and arrangers. U.S. Bank GCTS stood out among its competitors for its strong documentation management and value of service. In addition to the two first-place product categories, GCTS Europe placed third in the overall rankings, out of the seven Trustees that were included. Awards were formally announced at the Global ABS 2012 conference in Brussels in June. U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services Awarded New Italian Loans Securitisation U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services, Europe has been appointed by FGA Capital S.p.A to a new Italian Asset-Backed Securitisation (ABS) transaction "Asset-Backed European Securitisation Transaction Seven s.r.l" ("A-BEST 7"). FGA Capital S.p.A. Italy's largest Auto-ABS originator is 50% owned by Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A. and 50% by Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance. The A-BEST 7 deal marks the first public Italian auto ABS deal closed in 2012, the first deal FGA Capital S.p.A. has originated since March 2011, and is the seventh asset-backed securitisation in the A-BEST series since 2004. A-BEST 7 represents U.S. Bank's first Italian securitisation appointment since the bank's entrance to the European corporate trust market in 2011 through the acquisition of Bank of America's securitisation trust and agency business. U.S. Bank GCTS -Europe will provide a range of services, including account bank, calculation agent, cash manager, principal paying agent and representative of the noteholders. Tom Cubitt Named Head of European Corporate Trust Business U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services named Tom Cubitt, senior vice president, as the new leader of the bank's European Corporate Trust business based in London. "Tom has been in the corporate trust industry and with our London-based team for more than 10 years," said Bryan Calder, president of U.S. Bank GCTS. "His strategic insight and knowledge will help U.S. Bank's corporate trust business navigate today's challenging market conditions." Cubitt is responsible for U.S. Bank's securitisation trust and agency business which was acquired from Bank of America in 2010 and the conventional debt business which covers debt products including high yield, covered bonds, MTNs and escrow accounts. He is also responsible for growing and diversifying the business and client base and increasing the range of jurisdictions and products U.S. Bank GCTS, Europe serves.
