from fraudulent email practices, we suggest the
following:
- Protect your account and password information. U.S.
Bank will never ask you for sensitive account information
via email, including your Social Security Number, account
numbers, PIN or passwords.
- Change your account passwords (ATM and Internet
Banking) regularly. Use passwords that are
difficult to guess and if you write them down,
store them in a secure place other than your wallet.
- Protect your home computer by running anti-virus
software to guard against virus attacks.
- Install a personal firewall to prevent unauthorized
access to your home computer, especially if you connect
to the Internet via cable or a DSL modem.
If you receive an email that appears to be from U.S.
Bank and you suspect that it might be fraudulent,
