We LOVE the look of groupings of antique silver platters hanging on walls all over the blogosphere. However, not everyone has a collection of antique silver serviceware. We figured out how to get the look for less than $2 a piece using our nickel-plated metal serving trays, ribbon, and self-adhesive shelf paper... and each one takes mere minutes to make!
Shop at Dollar Tree — Here’s What You’ll Need:
Easy Step-by-Step Directions:
- Cut the shelf paper slightly larger than your tray. Remove the backing from the paper, place it carefully on your tray, and rub it on the tray, pushing it into the corners and smoothing out any air bubbles.
- Using the craft knife, trim the excess paper by tracing the corner of the tray all the way around. Peel away the edges.
- Glue ribbon to the back of the tray for hanging.
- If you wish, glue a letter to a finished tray for a tasteful monogram.
