Shop at Dollar Tree — Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Candles (white or light colors work best)
- White Tissue Paper
- Tape
- Scrap Paper
- Wax Paper
- Permanent Markers
- Hair Dryer
Easy Step-by-Step Directions:
- Cut tissue paper roughly the size of your candle.
- Draw on the tissue paper with permanent markers, but be sure to place a piece of scrap paper underneath the tissue (secure the tissue with tape) as the markers will bleed through.
- Cut your finished design out of the tissue (as close as possible) and wrap it around the candle.
- Roll the candle in a piece of wax paper, waxy side facing in, and tape closed to hold the design tightly to the candle.
- Using a hair dryer and being careful not to burn your fingers, heat the candle until you can no longer see the edges of the tissue paper (about 20 seconds). The wax from the wax paper seals the tissue paper design to the candle, so you can burn the candle as you would normally.
Important Reminder: remember to never leave a burning candle unattended.
