Shop at Dollar Tree – Here's What You'll Need:
Easy Step-by-Step Directions:
- Cut letters or design out of the foam board.
- Cut a backing board out of foam board that is large enough to fit all of your letters (this step can be skipped, but be careful pushing the thumbtacks through... they may be longer than your foam board is thick!)
- Paint all of the visible surfaces of the letters. Use one of your favorite colors, but make sure it is a contrasting color to the backing board.
- Arrange the letters on the backing board and push the thumbtacks through both layers. Cover the letters completely or play with patterns.
Fun Tips:
- Cut out your Greek letters and paint with your school's colors for a bit of spirit in your room or common area.
- Thumbtack letters are a great decoration in a preteen's room. Spell out their name or an inspirational word.
- Use your last name or word like "family" in neutral tones as a living room decoration.
