Homemade Flower Bouquet

Homemade Flower Bouquet

Flowers are a great gift for moms any day of the week. On Mother's Day though, something with a more personal touch is in order. We thought it would be great to combine a flower bouquet with a personalized gift that any mom would hold dear, and most children could make themselves (or with minimal assistance). Best of all, the little ones won't have to raid their piggy bank for too much change since the items we used can all be purchased for $1 each at Dollar Tree.

Shop at Dollar Tree – Here's What You'll Need:

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Cut flower shapes out of different-colored construction paper.
  2. Cut small leaf shapes out of green construction paper.
  3. Cut out the faces of family members or pets in the shape of circles. You can use real photographs or computer printouts.
  4. Glue the faces to the centers of the flowers, while leaving one free of photos. Use this blank flower to write a personal message to the recipient.
  5. Glue the flowers to the tops of the skewers/chenille stems and the leaves to the middle and bottoms of the skewers/chenille stems.
  6. Put the foam circle into the bottom of your planter and cover the foam with floral moss.
  7. Push the skewers/chenille stems through the floral moss and into the foam at varying heights, and place the flower with the personal message in the front.
