Shop at Dollar Tree – Here's What You'll Need:

• Construction Paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• Ribbon or String

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

1. Fold a sheet of construction paper, in your choice of color, and decorate with your personalized design or message.
2. Using construction paper in multiple colors, cut out enough heart shapes in various sizes to fill the inside of the card.
3. On a new sheet of construction paper, cut out narrow strips varying in size (approximately 1-2" long and ¼" wide) for every heart, accordion fold each strip, then glue one end of each strip to each heart and let dry.
4. Once dry, glue the other end of each accordion-folded strip to the inside of the card, arranging as desired. Set aside to dry.
5. While waiting for the glue to dry, create your banner by cutting diamond shapes (enough for each letter of your message) from a new sheet of construction paper, and then fold in half to create triangles.
6. Write your message one letter at a time on each triangle.
7. Cut a piece of ribbon/string that is just a bit smaller than the width of the unfolded card.
8. Arrange your message by placing each folded triangle over the ribbon/string and then gluing both sides of the triangle together to secure. Set aside to dry.
9. Once the banner has dried, glue each end of the ribbon/string to opposite sides of the card.
