If you’re not traveling this season, you just might be the one accommodating visits from family and friends. A few $1 supplies picked up on a quick trip to Dollar Tree can go a long way to help your guests feel right at home — and make your job as host a little easier, too!
- Night Lights: Place them in hallways, bathrooms, and in the kitchen to keep your guests from stubbing their toes or fumbling for light switches. (see image #1)
- Hangers: Clear a section of hanging space in the guest room closet and leave empty hangers so your guests can hang their clothes. (see image #2)
- Air Freshener: With all the extra people, food, pets, and kids, strategically placed scents can go a long way to keep unwanted odors at bay. Dollar Tree carries many different types of scents and air fresheners... from crystals and potpourri to oils, candles, and jar fresheners. (see image #3)
- Bottled Water: Leave a bottle or two on the guest room nightstand. If Uncle Bill wakes up thirsty in the middle of the night, he’ll appreciate not having to root around in the kitchen to get a glass of water. (see image #4)
- Toiletries: Pick up some extra cotton swabs, lotion, shampoo, toothbrushes/toothpaste, and razors just in case your guests forget to pack their own. Place these items in an easy-to-find spot in the bathroom. You may also consider providing pain reliever and antacid, items your guests may be embarrassed to ask for. (see image #5)
