5 Bite-Sized Foods for Holiday Parties

You don’t have to host a fancy sit-down brunch or dinner to have a fabulous holiday party! Plus, it’s hard to hug your friends or enjoy a beverage with a large plate in your hand. This year, try out these bite-sized party snacks instead and encourage your guests to mingle and have a drink (or two). They’re also great for family gatherings where there are lots of kids — even they’d rather play with their cousins than sit down to eat!

  1. Breakfast/Brunch: Silver Dollar Pancakes
Serve up silver dollar pancakes on toothpicks with a small dipping bowl of syrup. Top with a slice of fresh fruit or a whole berry. (see image #1)
  2. Lunch: Mini Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup
Use cookie cutters or a knife to cut grilled cheese sandwiches into bite-sized portions. Skewer the pieces with a toothpick and set atop a mug of tomato soup. Kick up the flavor a little by adding olive, pepperoni, or pepper slices. (see image #2)
  3. Lunch/Dinner: Mini Pizzas
Cut down pizza crusts with a cookie cutter into mini pizzas and have fun with the toppings! Dollar Tree has such a wide variety of canned veggies, meats, and cheeses that you can “play” all you want. (see image #3)
  4. Dessert: Cookies with Milk Shooters
Top a small glass of milk with a soft cookie speared with a fancy toothpick. (see image #4)
  5. Dessert: Mini Pies
Instead of serving an entire pie that you have to cut into messy slices, serve mini pies instead! Just bake your pie in a muffin tin instead of in a pie pan. (see image #5)
