It’s so fun and exciting to have the honor of hosting a baby shower... until you start getting into how much it costs! We have a few ideas of how to have fun with the pink or blue without spending a lot of green. The great thing about these ideas is that they are not only super cute and clever, but at the end of the day, the mom-to-be gets some needed supplies. For more fun (and budget friendly) party ideas, check out the Ribbon Ball Topiary, Paper Fortune Cookie Favors, Tie-Dye Cake, and Frozen Balloon Drink Cooler on this month’s Value Seekers Club page.
- Serve Drinks in Baby Bottles
Save the nipples and caps and wash out the bottles when the party is over so Mom will have a good supply of bottles for the baby. (see image #1) - Rubber Ducky Centerpieces
Just take a small candleholder, add some blue marble “bubbles”, and plop a squeaky bath toy inside... also makes an adorable decoration for baby’s room or bathroom. (see image #2) - Nail Polish Party Favors
What a better way to celebrate 10 little fingers and 10 little toes than with a nail polish favor display at your next baby shower! Arrange a mix of pinks and purples to celebrate a little girl, or offer blues and greens for your boy oh boy! Add “Thank You” tags to the nail polish bottles for an easy party favor. Simple, fun, and fast! (see image #3)
